Pure Acai Juice or MonaVie?
If you’ve interested in acai, you might wonder if it’s better to drink pure acai juice, or a blend such as Mona vie juice.
And there are arguments for both sides.
Of course, the “obvious” answer seems to be, “go with the pure acai juice!” After all, in this day and age of “going green” and eating as organically as possible, isn’t the purest form always the best? Maybe.
Perhaps the answer would be easier if we knew, for certain, the true acai berry benefits. All we know is that the berry is packed full of nutrients, antioxidants, Omega acids, fiber, trace minerals, and phytonutrients. All of this, of course, is extremely beneficial in itself.
However, many products promise the world; that consumption of pure acai juice will lower cholesterol, help you live longer, help you fight disease, and help you lose weight. Some claims even say that acai will help reduce seizures, migraines, and improve your sex life. While it’s easy to assume these benefits based upon the acai berry information we do know, it’s just too early to know for sure.
For that reason, many people say it’s better to go with blended products such as MonaVie, who blend acai juice with other healthful fruit juices. MonaVie, for example, blends acai fruit juice with the juice of 18 other of the most nutritious fruits on the planet. As the company points out, nature has given us thousands of healthy fruit and vegetables designed to add to our health. Why ignore these other fruits for the sake of one new fruit?
This is what MonaVie’s “Balance, Variety, Moderation” mantra is all about. - Balance: A balance of healthy, nutritious food is better than relying on the power of a single ingredient.
- Variety: A variety of nutritious foods offers more than a single nutrient alone.
- Moderation: “A little goes a long way,” or “There can be too much of a good thing.”
The form in which you want to consume your acai also determines which product you should use. There are acai supplements, powder, smoothies, juices, energy drinks, and Sambazon even makes an acai sorbet. Of course, there are plenty of “fake” acai products out there, and so it’s important to research the company to make sure that your money is safe and you’ll be getting a pure acai product. Some scam products have even been found to contain less than 1% acai; but since there is not yet any regulation on acai products, they can get by with calling themselves an acai product.
So, for now, go with what your gut says to be true. Some say that blends such as MonaVie offer the most benefits. Then again, some people argue that if the berry research proves the berry to be as powerful and potent as some believe it to be, then pure acai juice will be more than enough to make an impact on your health and vitality.
