By adding acai to your low fat smoothie recipes, you can increase the nutrition and the likelihood that you’ll lose weight!

Here are a few other tips to keep your smoothie recipes truly low-fat:

For the purpose of adding acai to your diet smoothies, it’s best to buy acai berry as powder or juice. Be sure to look for products that use only the highest quality organic acai; and only buy from companies that use freeze dried acai in their acai products.

Freeze drying is a process that allows the acai to be dried to be transported overseas; and is the only process that preserves all the nutrients and antioxidant power of the berry. All of the other processes (mainly spray and drum drying) cook out all of the nutrients, which leaves the berry useless and a waste of your money.


We recommend either Sambazon acai powder if you want powder form; or MonaVie acai juice blends if you prefer juice.

Then, simply use any of your favorite low fat smoothie recipes and just add acai!
